Although I was trained as a clinical psychologist, I have been doing forensic evaluations for the courts since 2003. Most of my work has been related to criminal cases (competency to stand trial; pleas of not guilty by reason of insanity; mitigation & sentencing), but I also do evaluations for civil cases (primarily related to emotional damages), fitness-for-duty assessments requested by employers, capacity for parenting evaluations required by state agencies, and risk of violence/dangerousness evaluations for both adults and adolescents.
